We operate our facilities to the highest of environmental standards, complying with all state and federal regulations throughout each specific operation. Each operation has the current necessary Permits and Licences.
Regular inspections are carried out by the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy (VA DMME) to ensure compliance with excavation, operations and reclamation standards.
In West Virginia this is carried out by the WV Department of Environmental Protection (WV DEP).
Employees are trained to comply with the relevant site specific regulations, which include the use of water trucks to dampen roadways in dry weather and the use of dust suppression on the operational plants where necessary.
